Too bad he wasn't in the car with me driving to Newberg...he could have explained why the 1829 felt the need to make a U-turn out of the right-hand shoulder on 99W just north of Fischer Road with me and two other cars coming up on him from behind.

Proactive my ass. Then again, this is the guy who was a project manager for the Transit Mall MAX project that resulted in the creation of a number of unsafe bus stops.........

Yeah but it sure sounds good, doesn't it! The more we say the word "safe," the safer we'll be! I think it works the same for the word "proactive" too.

My better half brings up a good point - considering this is all still in response to Sandi Day, it is, in fact, still REACTIVE. Proactive would've been if they were doing all of this in the first place before anything like that happened!
