JOE ROSE DENIED ACCESS TO OPERATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
Oregonian reporter Joe Rose wanted to cover the operator of the year award but the Trimet executives did not want him here!
That must be a new decision, because in past years I know the OOTY ceremony has gotten media coverage (I remember Shaler especially getting a lot of coverage last year, not so much for Steve & Frank though).
This year there's not even a press release from TriMet - there's a link to it on TriMet's news release page, but I get a 404 when I click on it.
Maybe...could it be...that they want a reporter and not a blogger who just happens to work for a media outlet?
I've noticed that more and more of the transportation news articles at The Oregonian are being written by other reporters, and Joe Rose is getting fewer and fewer news assignments...

Must be a secret this year!
