Hot rumor

Hot rumor is that management has been at various bus stops, when the bus pulls up they ask the driver, "hey, got your cell phone?" Five drivers handed the managers the cell phone from their pocket&were suspended for 5 days!

Why isn't Management at 4th and Hall to check out how well that bus stop is working with all the construction? Buses are stopping a block and a half south at an unmarked, undesignated temporary stop, while riders waiting at the approved, designated stop can't get on the bus. I saw a 12 bus already in the far left lane at Hall - sucks if you wanted it.

Any rider alerts posted? Nope. Anything at www.trimet.org? Nope. How about a tweet or a Facebook post? Nada.

It's as good as the construction at Barbur & Capitol Highway - the inbound stop has been closed, with the posted Rider Alert telling riders to walk to the Barbur Boulevard TC - problem is, the crosswalk across Capitol, and the sidewalk along Barbur over I-5 was all ripped up (as part of the construction); and there's no crosswalk to cross Barbur. So the Rider Alert told riders to use a bus stop that riders couldn't walk to!

And then the lovely bus stop at Barbur and Bertha outbound in front of the (under construction) Burlingame Fred Meyer store...it's now a warzone with construction fencing all over the place. One would think that TriMet would relocate the transfer point between the 65 and the 94 to Barbur and Terwilliger where there's a much more proper (and safer) bus stop (which could also use a shelter).
