As we know, Sam Swartz is retiring soon.
The question has been asked what exactly is Sam retiring with in terms of benefits.
We know he will get is Trimet retirement and social security (who knows about any of that of course) but does he walk away with anything from our union?

I believe that it's customary for full time officers to continue to participate in their transit employee benefits pool while on "leave of absence" during their terms. I don't know if the matching usually done by the employer is taken over by the union or not.
