Meanwhile, "bluecrescendos" was in no mood for the usual transit cacophony: "If only the @trimet robot announcer would shut up."
From Kelli "kelcach" Cach: "Sky is blue. Sun is shining. Man at the max stop is serenading the @trimet schedule."
From Breanna "tascherdesign" Tauscher: "Beware, the east side riverfront is a traffic catastrophe. I covered six blocks faster than a bus on foot. Take that Line 6! @trimet."
TriMet: Faster than a speeding walker? Not everywhere.
Ouch!
Of course, it should be sadly noted that TriMet didn't tweet a peep to its nearly 6,000 users during a slew of reported problems during Wednesday night's maddening rush hour.
Wednesday night, riders using Twitter reported a slew of problems, from denied boardings and extra waits because of packed buses and problems linked to the Timbers game to a lost driver who took her riders on an unannounced detour rush hour.
TriMet's response: Dead air from 4:41 p.m. Wednesday to 8:35 this morning.
Again, TriMet, what's the point of having a Twitter account if you're not going to use it when it's needed most?
