Don't forget the union meetings today and tomorrow

You too can watch as the officers spoon feed you information with questionable value.

Watch as the president rules you out of order or just cuts short any discussion that he doesn't like.

Have fun, I won't be there for this farce.

The union has bungled just about everything that protects our rights as employees at Trimet.

Agreeing to a grievance process that is so slow that you could die before your grievance is heard. (unless of course you happen to be the brother of the president.)

Allowing a SIP policy that undermines and demeans operators.

Giving away our right to strike which has rendered the members impotent in the face of management misdeeds.

Allowing A highly questionable financial reporting system.

Making sure the most incompetent among us keep their jobs.

Of course people will scream and howl that I am "anti union", pro management blah blah blah.

The truth is I am anti corruption, be it union corruption or management corruption, and it appears to me that employees at Trimet are caught between two very corrupted institutions.

Enjoy the meetings.
