Union meeting synopsis

I attended the union meeting for the express purpose of asking President Hunt why he thinks he is not subject to The Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act.



Unfortunately he did not attend the meeting and Sam Swartz would not address this issue.
However Sam did make the following comments:
1-Jon asked Chris Day to submit to a search which would be conducted by Sandra Guengrich.
2-Chris Day refused
3-Chris Day requested entry into the meeting and consented to a search after obtaining consul.
4-Jon Hunt refused and demanded Day along with his attorney meet with him before Jon would allow Day entry into any meeting again.


Sam did state upon my questioning that Day had “gone to his car and left his audio recording device there” before requesting entry into the meeting.
I asked him “if that is the case why was he denied entry”
Sam did not answer.

I asked specifically about the disclosure act and Sam stated to me that items #1 and #2 had been met,( served with written specific charges; (B) given a reasonable time to prepare his defense) but he did not know about item #3. (Afforded a full and fair hearing.)
I read the labor disclosure act to the members present, there was no response.


In other news Shelly Lomax will only settle the minor grievances, she refuses to settle any matters which are of major importance. (suspensions, terminations, violations of civil rights etc)
Bring your dog to McFarlanes house next Saturday, there is a large yard.
TRIMET is now allowing anonymous complaints against operators. They are viewed as valid complaints. (very troubling)
The type four trains have a horn which requires operators to remove their eyes from the rail in order to find it. All the safety equipment is in a different location than all the other type of MAX trains in service.
The explanation as to how the company is helped by knowing financials was abstract as well as the advantage the company gains from knowing the outcome of arbitration votes. Personally I was not sold that the explanations given to me had any validity whatsoever however I did not challenge them.
