Former Oregon City Commissioner Dan Holladay, who was co-chief petitioner for he ballot, said people didn't want to spend money to fix Multnomah County's problem.
"I think it was a jurisdictional isse people understand htat we have counties for a reason and counties are supposed to take care of their own stuff," he said.

While no one wants to intentionally separate a child from his or her parents, it really is up to the parents to look out for the safety of their children on and around the trains because that’s part of being a parent, and it is not part of an operator’s job description to be a babysitter.
