LETS CRASH THE BUS WHILE WE TRY TO CALL THE STOP-blast from the past
WHY I CANNOT USE THE MICROPHONE TO CALL STOPS - YouTube
CALLING STOPS IS ACTUALLY A SAFETY HAZARD

TriMet's Culture of Safety
The good news is that Night Stop is coming soon. The bad news is that it wouldn't have helped here, thanks to the great planning by TriMet and the City of Portland that prevented this bus from making a curb stop. (And the bus stop sign and shelter are next to that blue car, and yes that is a "legal" parking space for the cars right where the bus stop SHOULD be.)

TRYING TO DEAL WITH TRIMET MANAGEMENT
This is the body of a letter I sent to Greg Larson regarding this ADA business:
Discrimination against Merlo operators?
The only garage where we hear of these nonsense "call stop" violations is the Merlo garage. I know several people who were written up about this besides myself and all of them actually did call the stops.
Is this action targeted at Merlo operators? Does it need to be said that the management has been derelict in their responsibilities to upgrade the equipment properly? They take out their dereliction of responsibility on the poor hapless people that are stuck working here as lowly and disrespected operators.
I've always called my stops, maybe not the stupid zone boundaries, but who the hell knows what they want, they refuse to tell us.
The question for us operators is what to do about this form of tyranny.
The company doesn't tell us what we are doing wrong, the don't give us any facts about the 'quality assurance ride' and of course its all done anonymously.
I woke up this morning after a hard nites sleep with my stomach gurgling, so I called off sick.
Now I don't know if my stomach problems are as a result of the companies ongoing abuse towards me, or if I am catching a flu of some sort.
But let me tell you one thing, I certainly understand why so many people don't show up for work here.
And so it begins-THE HARASSMENT OF A TRIMET BUS DRIVER/BLOGGER
Today when I walked into the garage after my shift I was greeted with TWO BOGUS complaints, the first one is a "call stop" violation
The funny thing about this is that I actually do call my stops. It appears I am not "precise" enough when I am calling my stops. This is the second time I have been through this. There is nothing more discouraging than getting punished for a job that your already doing but our (mis)management does not have the the decency to provide us with a call stop list or an explanation as to what you are doing wrong.
On my way home tonight I decided how I will handle this, see the video.
