Runs cancelled due to management screw ups
Runs were cancelled do to fare box problems. Another management screw up but they are not accountable:

MAX has a full staff of people whose job is to do nothing but deal with TVMs.
Where's the staff of bus employees whose job is to do absolutely nothing but tend to farebox problems?
If buses aren't dispatched because of farebox problems, should MAX trains not stop at platforms with broken TVMs?
