WES ridership takes a hit!

WES ridership takes a hit! 1640/day in February,1570 in March. Of course, that's a whopping 50 more rides than March of 2011 so it's being paraded as an increase *vomits*

Oops, you're right. I did mean February. I don't know what I was thinking there.

The performance is truly pathetic. WES all but does not serve any colleges, so Spring Break should have affected WES far less than, say, the 92/94/96 all of which directly serve PSU, or the 8/61/64/65/66/68 that serve OHSU. Or the 39, the 52 and 67...

In fact, WES should have attracted riders who would have had the week off and could have used WES for the daily activities - and yet it didn't.

Meanwhile, February was hobbled by Presidents Day, while not a TriMet holiday it was a federal and state holiday, with a large number of government workers (and students) having the day off. And yet WES ridership was higher?

TriMet should know better, especially since it touts how Saturday is the highest ridership day on MAX.
