The idea that a bicycle can turn into a flying projectile is absurd and you'd have to be a idiot bus driver to make that happen!

CONFESSIONS OF A SOON TO BE RETIRED TRIMET BUS DRIVER
If the bus was once an hour I made room for bicycles to come inside the bus.

Some other transit agencies--I believe Golden Gate Transit is one--allow bicycles to be secured in the wheelchair spots. But the possible conflict between bicycles and disabled persons would have to be addressed.
