I'm still waiting for the news conference (attended by all local big wigs) where Gone-too -McFar-Land and the Trimet Board of Sock Puppets, oops, make that Directors, declare a state of emergency regarding the woeful condition of the bus fleet. It will go something like this, "As a transit agency that takes pride in providing a TOTAL transit experience to all it's users/riders, we can no longer abide the threat to public health and safety that our neglected and ancient bus fleet poses. Therefore, we are immediately suspending our costly propaganda war against the union, as well as any MAX expansion funding, and we instead will begin a massive overhaul and modernization of what is now an unsafe and embarrassingly decrepit fleet of buses!
