coming to Trimet

At Sunday's Charter meeting we got to hear about the new buses, interesting to learn there are 2 Hidden Camera's... full audio, both can be Live Streamed. Glad Bruce Hansen mentioned how we must revisit the policy... I know C-Tran has this system and allot of the drivers like the security it provides. what do you think?

 My comment~~> live streamed? what's wrong with that? there are many more instances of passengers abusing bus drivers than bus drivers screwing up...i personally think this sort of thing is to the benefit of drivers.... and i've was pushing for audio for a long time because video without audio only tells one side of the story-take a look at the baby bus driver incident-if the public could have heard that baby screaming it might have had a different outcome-and then there is the bogus 'you didnt call your stops' baloney-those of us that were calling our stops still got accused of not calling stops-with audio that can no longer happen
