GIVE US BACK THE RIGHT TO STRIKE

Let the citizens of greater Portland see who is is that actually runs this transit system!

It would be better to let TriMet employees go on strike

It is unfortunate that the public does not ever see, hear or read our side of the story.Ever since Christian Anderson arrived from the conservative/right-wing/anti-union Orange County Register, the Oregonian has had it in for the unionized TriMet workers.I doubt whether Fred Stickel would have given the approval of todays editorial urging the TriMet workers to strike.

Actually, the Oregonian has been anti-union going way back to something like 1959 when their pressmen went on strike and shut the paper down. It is true that the paper has gotten worse since Anderson took over.

Who cares what the Oregonian says, what Trimet says, "we" know they would love to lock us out, and bring in First Transit. "We" had a non-confontational President, who would not openly get the word out for "our" side. Now that's changed, "we" will see if there is any difference.

Can't bring in first transit to operate the rail!

The buses don't count, but if the rail operators walk there will be panic in the streets of Portland
