What TriMet's rail equipment should be...

This is the interior of a former Long Island Railroad P72 coach, used extensively in commuter rail service from New York east along the diesel lines on Long Island.  These cars entered service in the 1950s and were retired in the late 1990s.

This particular coach is now used on the Mount Hood Railroad as a tourist coach.  Note the 2x3 seating and the facing seats.  There is also very little legroom.  There is however a restroom.

WOW, but that's NY where they have real transit, not transit oriented development

You mean NYC: Home of real transit-oriented development, NOT Portland's development-oriented transit!

So that was much better than WES?
