Neils latest BS

(He's proud of where 'we' stand, and quotes a travel and leisure magazine, everybody loves Trimet right? I guess he isn't reading my "seen and heard on Trimet" daily report. You gotta read that survey, it's a real hoot)

Proud of where we stand with residents and visitors

Amidst all the talk of tight budgets and tough choices, here's a piece of news that puts some perspective on the great work you all do.
For the sixth year in a row, Travel + Leisure's America's Favorite Cities Survey has ranked Portland tops in Public Transportation—from the perspectives of both visitors and residents.
You can read the complete survey here, and see how we stacked up to other cities. (You’ll see we’re also number one for Pet-Friendly Vacations and Microbrews—no surprise there—but at the bottom of the barrel for Best Time to Visit: Valentine’s Day. Go figure!)
For me, this is a timely reminder that we continue to make smart choices, even in financially hard times, because we focus on delivering high quality service that is highly valued and highly regarded. It's one more reason why I'm so proud to work here. Congratulations—this honor is yours!
By the way, this is not the only notable publication to sing TriMet's praises. See the "In the News" page at trimet.org for more.

Public Transit and Walkability are combined, while Portland is without a doubt a VERY walkable city, I think that might boosted the score.
