RE: OREGONIANS ED ROSNEY STORY

Interesting how much money they will put into these obnoxious sports fans who shove their way onto the MAX without having the basic courtesy or the common sense to let others off first. They come on drunk and obnoxious and think they own it even though they rarely ride it. But TriMet puts all this money into taking care of these entitled brats while everyday hard working people can't even get the bus service they need.
Oh yeah this is so much more important than actual routes to their regular customers. Thanks for continually praising their mismanagement of funds.

Where Amtrak roams
These are some ties that support the Union Pacific mainline track through Salem - where a dozen or so freight trains, and six Amtrak trains cross over each day.
Excellence in Bus Stop Planning
As I got off my bus this morning at 6th and Market, the rear door of the bus was lined up with this little patch of mud. As the bus was standing room only, a few riders had to step off of the bus to let others off, so our only choice was to walk through the mud.
Next to the mud patch was a little sign that says to help protect the landscaping and not to walk on it.
What were we supposed to do? All file out through the front door? This is a brand new bus stop on the Transit Mall! Shouldn't the size of a bus and the placement of the doors have been a consideration towards the design of the bus stop? Would a MAX stop be built with this where the door would be located?

They say they have the 9,378 signatures needed with nearly another 2,500 to spare, and so it appears that there will be a public vote in September on Clackamas County's participation in Tri-Met's badly misguided Mystery Train to Milwaukie project. Tri-Met continues to say that it will sue to force the county to pay $25 million toward the rail construction, even if the ballot measure passes and the county is barred by its voters from playing along. That ought to be tied up in the courts for many years.

But first, of course, the pushers of the train will do what they can to invalidate the signatures that the opponents have worked so hard to gather. The vote against the MAX will be another in a long string of embarrassments for the Portland transit agency, and it would like to avoid it if it can.
Next con to be cancelled
The "threat" to the red line!
How much you wanna bet that will be cancelled and the MAX red line service will continue as is?

Trimess pulls back some cuts
Via Michael Anderson's twitter feed Trimess says things are not so bad after all!
Well I coulda told you that the draconian cuts were basically just another stage show presented by the people who manipulate public opinion so skillfully.
We've seen it all before. Present a doomsday scenario then only impose some of the bullshit.
As a result they make themselves the "good guy".
It's the scam we see over&over.
