TIME TO GO
I've had quite a few people attempt to convince me not to leave Trimet.
I want to thank those folks for those kind thoughts, but I can't provide my energy to this organization any longer.
I'm in a position that allows me freedom of choice and I want to take advantage of that and move my energy to more enlightening endeavors.
It's no longer any fun being a bus driver at TriMet.

Their actual revenue is higher than their budgeted revenue....AGAIN.....yet they keep talking about a shortfall?
WHO IS THE ENEMY?
Who Is the Enemy? Unions or Executives? – this ain't livin'
Unionbusting was a major theme in 2011; numerous companies moaned to the media about how they were having trouble meeting their costs because of those pesky unions. Some went as far as threatening (and declaring) bankruptcy over union negotiations, positioning labour as the enemy; they’d have to shut down and kill hundreds or thousands of jobs all because of the greedy union representatives. Meanwhile, executives continued to pocket significant salaries and authorize large payouts of money for those unionbusting lawyers they used at the negotiating table, those public relations officials charged with making the union look bad.

That people actually "thank" the people sitting through the public testimonies for "allowing them to speak".
Are people not aware that the only reason they are sitting there listening is because the law says they have too!

While our regressive self serving narcissists keep adding bureaucrats with fat paychecks other places are realizing that the real saving is to be had by GETTING RID OF FAT!

They must really be in trouble
I woke up to a voicemail from a Trimet station agent asking if I want RDO work.
I clearly indicated on the little box on the signup sheet they I do NOT want to be called for extra work.
Sorry Trimet, greed works for most people but not on me.

HUMANITY ON WHEELS
I gotta tell ya it was one of the weirdest events I have ever attended.
More like theater, or poetry reading, or story telling.
The subject matter was Trimet, and some of the things that happen on the system.
I just observed, as did Jessica Buccereli from Trimet.
A couple of people asked me to go up and make some sort of presentation, but this venue is definitely not me.
I don't 'rehearse' any of my scripts and every single one of my movies is just showing "real life", completely opposite from this event.
Didn't get to say Hi to Dr Jeff, a quick hello to Michael Anderson (who had nothing to say to me), a drink with Michael Levine, my favorite activist, and then just hung out with my little group of "pals" which included Max, Jason, --- and her husband Michael.
I will work on the footage when I get time, will put up some raw footage soon.
