Bus Shelter Sprouts “Blossoms of Hope” to Inspire Minneapolis Community

Steadman is Neils henchman, obviously

McFarlane has done such a miserable job dealing with his employees he needed to hire yet ANOTHER FAT CAT EMPLOYEE to do the job that he can't do.

Steadman of course is nothing but a HATCHET MAN for Mcfarlane, who must be tired of looking like the slug he is.

Content to play this as a riders vs drivers issue, these executives are really despicable. I have never seen anything like this at a non profit agency.

Of course they could lead by example by taking a 10% pay cut for all executives making over 100k which would take the high ground away from the union, but that would be too much to ask, executives actually give up something, that will never happen.

TRIMET HAS PLENTY OF MONEY FOR STUFF AS LONG AS THEY CAN SAY ITS MLR

What a boondoggle. I have some very strong sympathy for the Republican effort to gum up all this nonsense.

Pork is here!

Trimet continues fighting down and dirty

Follow the link for the recent letter from the Northwest Oregon Labor Council to Neil McFarlane, General Manager of TriMet concerning the ongoing contract dispute as reported by ATU 757 Political Coordinator Mike Pucik. What is interesting is the response the Labor Council received from TriMet, not from Neil McFarlane, but from TriMet's Labor Relation's Director, Randy Stedman.
In typical TriMet fashion, Stedman is now floating the idea that the Oregon Employment Relations Board (ERB) may lack jurisdiction over Trimet and its three rulings which found TriMet to be in violation of the law. TriMet never quits. Always trying to put the blame for poor management decisions on someone else.
And what is really amazing is Stedman's claim that "TriMet is unabashedly pro-union and strongly believes in traditional principles of collective bargaining under PECBA." It would actually be funny, but unfortunately it isn't because TriMet leadership really believes this "fairytale" story.

OPAL MAKES STATEMENT ABOUT TRIMET BUDGET

Alternative Solutions on TriMet Budget

Under TriMet’s latest budget proposal, transit riders will soon experience the largest fare increase in history, continued service cuts and less frequent service. These changes will have severe impacts on jobs, equal opportunity and environmental and public health.

We All Ride the Bus has developed alternative solutions for TriMet that will raise new revenue and save money to balance the budget without the need for the drastic fare hikes and service cuts in the current proposal.

TriMet changes customer service hours

You can get a real live person at Trimet 238-ride between the hours of 8:30/4:30 weekdays now.

Brilliant move considering that people's commutes last from about 7:00am-9:00am mornings and
4-7pm afternoons.

Of course nothing ever happens during the commute hours that would be of concern to somebody in customer service right?

How many executives does this pork  barrel agency employ who come up with brilliant ideas like this?

Oh yea I forgot, this is something the public uses so its not necessary.

The future!

Safety first? Hardly! Live report

here is a good one for safety first..this guy that was driving my bus..got in at 1 am and this run starts at 436 am..wow!..safety ya right

FACE IT!

ERIK HALSTEAD AT THE OREGONIAN

In 2009, the good citizens of Seattle took it upon themselves to recognize the dedicated members of the public who are employed by King County Metro, and get up extra early to make sure that the rest of Seattle can get to where they need to go. And March 18th was then decreed as "Bus Driver Appreciation Day".

DAVID TRIMBLE RETURNS

Some of you might remember him when he was one of the assistant station managers. Another Trimet insider brought back. We know why they do that of course. SECRECY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VALUE TO THE EXECUTIVE CLASS AT TRIMET.
Here is what he will be doing now, of course with the usual executive salaries since they are so important and they must recruit 'talent' (what horseshit that is).
