So sad, a once great transit system destroyed in the name of special interest and business opportunities.
All they have left is the phony personna which is propagated by their endless self congratulating press releases and the corporate media stooges that spit it back so dutifully.

The move would force TriMet to pay Portland about $2 million a year, money that neither the city nor TriMet budgeted. That's identical to costs previously identified by TriMet to maintain free trips for high school students enrolled in Portland Public Schools.

TriMet is considering moving 248 administrators and other staffers who work at the transit agency's Southeast 17th Avenue headquarters to a downtown site near Portland State University.
TriMet's board will consider a measure that would move staffers to Harrison Square, at 1800 S.W. First Avenue, at its Wednesday board meeting. The move could cost at least $17.4 million, according to Business Journal reporter Andy Giegerich.
