It's not really a surprise I guess if you think about it.
There is no money and very little interest in Transit news in Portland (one of the reasons Trimet executives get away with their schemes is because the general public doesn't really care about it at all) but there is money dealing with the bicycle cult in Portland.
Michael is in it for the money , he needs to make a living so it's understandable.
But losing his expertise in transit reporting? A truly huge blow to those of us who follow this material.
