What becomes apparent after reading this is that Lane was smart to take the plea deal since the case was a fix against him.
The only reason they made this plea deal was to avoid the circus of a real trial, and it would have been a circus.
Lopez appeared scornful of Jensen throughout the hearing, comparing him to a blogger who had run an extortion site where he accused people of having sexually-transmitted diseases.
"Mr. Jensen, you seem to enjoy being bathed in public attention," Lopez said. "You have my attention. What do you want to say?" (for once Lane knew to keep his mouth shut) SOURCE
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them.

Hold the phone Al... You are painting Lane Jensen as a complete and innocent fellow. Granted Tri Meth most likely set him up. But isn't this same obsessed individual who paraded around dressed head to toe in Tri Meth uniforms??? The same who rode around filming to in order to harass drivers??? The same guy who idolized you............

That's funny.
He did what he wanted to and it was all basically harmless except Trimet employees and executives have this habit of going over the deep end when anybody challenges them on anything.
Talk about a culture of paranoia.
