safety says we ALL should STOP, PULL OVER and then answer the repetitive questions.

Any chance I get I do just that, and you would be surprised how dispatch sees you ain't rolling and sort of speeds up their babbling dissertations.

It is illegal for a reason, the company says it is not in the commission of your duties.

Parked car today, bicycle tomorrow.

It didn't sound to me like the bus "plowed" into the car, but I think the car's bumper was torn off, and the operator was shook up enough that they couldn't drive anymore.

Trimet drivers are allowed by law to pick up the handset while driving but they can choose to pull over. Of course u get blamed for any accident you may have

my bad, I misspoke and said the company says its not in commission of your duties, it is in your commission of duty, but I must say its ilegal for a reason, plus why would you do that while driving when you cannot even sit in the seat on your break using your cell phone, about how ridiculous is that.
