Trimet "attitude" survey

In 2013 Trimet paid DHM RESEARCH (a local Portland company)to conduct an survey of the public's opinion on Trimet.
As with every single study  that has been paid by Trimet it comes out pretty positive.
This report states that 66% of respondents think Trimet is doing the right thing.
Apparently that is down from 75%.
There has never been a report that was commissioned by Trimet that came back critical of Trimet. (at least not that I know of). This 'report' was based on telephone calls to 1000 Portland residents. I have no  idea how 1000 random calls can be called 'statistically accurate' for anything.
I have no faith in anything that is published by 'our' government, Trimet included.
I post it only as Trimet material that is relevant to the topic. We do know one thing for sure about Trimet, they will never publish any document that is negative of the agency. Anybody from within the agency that publishes anything negative is quickly penalized.

One of the problems with telephone surveys is that the surveyors are only calling landline telephones. So you're only reaching a certain cross-section of the population, as many Americans have gotten rid of their landlines.

And many people won't bother to answer the phone for anyone they don't know.

So you're basically asking a bunch of retired or disabled 40-70 year olds what they think about TriMet, but you're ignoring working people, younger people...

"Respondents were contacted randomly using multiple samples including RDD [random digit dialing, I presume], listed, and cell phone samples"

So cell phone numbers were called. And it says that there were plenty of respondents below age 35.

Please show me the actual demographics of the survey - including ZIP Codes - compared to the actual population demographics.

They are right in the document on the third virtual page. Zip codes aren't listed but they were asked for.

the actual population demographics.

This information is readily available at various Web sites, and the document says that "For a representative sample, quotas were set by age, gender, and geographic area"
