(Union dues assessment, WTF)

Both shy away from the truth using "Lip Service" as their answer.

We need ideas as to what the next piece of history will be.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-595057345294486478.post-185991658998951562014-02-28T22:31:35.715-08:002014-02-28T22:31:35.715-08:00In Seattle, local 587 actually went on strike in 1...In Seattle, local 587 actually went on strike in 1974 and fought hard for an "eight hour guarantee" only to be forced to accept a part-time workforce in the next contract that allowed part timers to be hired in 1978. Seattle's Metro was one of the first agencies in the nation to actually have a separate part-time category of transit operator. I knew from that point on that conditions would gradually deteriorate as what I witnessed was only a handful of drivers wanting to fight to keep part-time drivers out of the equation. The majority were swayed by the offer of higher wages other fringe benefits.

Personally, I wanted to see a "A-Board, B-Board, C-Board" type of system. always roaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04616661692680890381noreply@blogger.com
