Interesting that the 4 carries more than the 9 but the 4 runs closer to MAX...
12 has now pulled ahead of the 72 in productivity...72 of course is a little disadvantaged because it runs more vehicles per hour than the 12 does so its ridership is spread out over more vehicles.
You're forgetting that ALL of Line 4 and (almost) ALL of Line 72 are Frequent Service. The Broadway half of Line 9 and both outer ends of Line 12 are not.
The graph probably includes trips that are pretty empty (like ones that go the other way at rush hour)

ReplyDeleteI don't think it takes into account that a) some trips don't serve the entire line and b) some lines are a lot longer than others.
