Too bad he's a miserable failure.
Let's review some of his accomplishments:
1-Let's see, Mcfarlane asked the legislature to remove the arbitration
law that prohibits Trimet union workers to strike. (What we are seeing
at BART Mcfarlane would have for here) That went nowhere.
2-Mcfarlanes cronies got caught attempting to obstruct the Oregonian investigation into overtime.
3-Fined by federal judge for withholding evidence in the case of Sale vs Trimet
4-A revolution in Clackamas county took hold and propelled anti light rail candidates into office.
5-Ordinances were adopted in King City and Tigard against light rail.
6-Loss of several unfair labor practices involving their employees. (that Mcfarlane refuses to honor)
7-CRC thrown into the trash by Washington law makers due to the light rail provision which was basically a vote against Trimet.
8-Secret raises hidden in the contingency budget and the misrepresentation of facts by Trimet executives
9- State legislature demands an 'audit'
10-multiple assaults on bus operators with no reaction from Trimet (although they have announced more police on buses)
11-Plunging ridership month after month after month
His only success is handing out millions and millions of dollars in contracts!
What Union in their right mind wouldever give up there right to strike. ( Teachers, longshoreman,Teamsters)
ReplyDeleteAs GM, he has by far (compared to all his predecessors) created the most toxic and hostile work environment for his front line employees. Does that count for anything?
ReplyDeleteI hope Oregon City kicks trimet out
ReplyDeleteNot only that he hires these dufuses to be managers at all three garages that have never driven a bus. You know the type. The person who has never had kids but is an expert on how to raise yours.
