It looks like route 84 will be gone sooner than Boring
Very simple solution. It's so simple, a caveman could have figured it out:
Replace both LIFT and 84 service with a single cutaway bus (a LIFT bus). Operate it JUST like the Cedar Mill Shuttle was - you call a day ahead and make a reservation, your driver picks you up, and you can request a ride anywhere within the service area OR to the Gresham TC (or call the driver directly and you can be picked up if space/time allows). Like LIFT it will be operated by the paratransit contractor. However it will be open to the public and anyone can request a ride on this bus (only).
Hours of operation will be 5:30 AM until 7:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
LIFT riders who need to continue LIFT service beyond Gresham TC will transfer to a regular LIFT bus elsewhere.
Heck - are the old Cedar Mill Shuttle vans still available? Don't they have lifts?
