Trimet celebrates its first year of its latest boondoggle
It will create about 14,000 jobs and generate $573 million in personal earnings.
No longer do we discuss project cost. Oh no.
It's all about the "personal earnings".
TriMet, let me tell you something: Where's MY personal earnings for riding TriMet? I pay dearly in taxes to fund projects I can't use, while getting services cut which extend the amount of time it takes me to where I'm going. As the saying goes, "Time is money."
Since when did I become a piggybank for a bunch of construction workers who in three years will be asking for another TriMet bailout?
