COMMENTS-FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS

1. Read the entire Ballard case;  It's called doing the right thing.

2. Know what questions to ask. Info to Joe Rose was manipulated in the Oregonian article. Fact: the 20-year HR Director, "retired" Thus, the new Exec HR Director posts for two new "HR Business Partners", in which one position he hopes to hire in-house..Savings? None. From one position to two, plus new Exec. Ends up being one position for three positions.

3. Don't forget the TriMet Workforce Development Dept..this is three current positions. This group already does what the new "HR Business Partner" positions were described as doing.

4. Hiring Stedman, Saporta, and now Trimble. It's going backwards. These types of actions are a well known indicator that management is either floundering or hunkering down. Perhaps lacking skills.

5. Removing Lerbach. This was a loss for the entire agency and every public citizen.

After watching  citizens speak at the recent public meetings, reading about Pete Taylor, and then reading Neil's comments to Opal in the Tribune, I no longer view it as a learning curve for the new management group.
It is devastating to watch.
