LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE GOT A HOLD OF A TRIMET BUS RADIO-WARNING! PROFANITY
I have no idea what this Controller was thinking...first he's egging the guy on, and then he repeatedly says to "call him"?
Huh?
I could definitely see trying to keep the radio conversation going, if the Controller was actually trying to triangulate his signal. (Because it is not a quick process.) But dumping the conversation and going to phone...there's no point in that. Does TriMet's phone system have Caller ID?
That is a bus radio; it is not a portable radio. So, if the system is working right, they can figure out where the bus is and who the operator is supposed to be.

ReplyDeleteBecause it was on a frequency that is used by the bus radio system and not the one the portables use. And the guy said he was sitting in a bus.
