TRIMET BOARD PRESIDENT WARNER REFUSES TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS
For those curious about my outstanding glorious remark that shook the ages (maybe): "I've never seen a board president so afraid of a conversation with the public."
This is big business, and millions of dollars coming in for major projects. They won't do anything to disrupt that, not even for the public. Lastly, I for one do not want the binding Arbritration ended, they should uphold the agreement and stop trying to change it without bargining, the more their side loses, the less they have to bargain with. HB

You got that right, Henry.
TriMet does not care about the public in public transit.
TriMet cares about Siemens (a big German conglomerate), Stacy & Witbeck (a big Bay Area based construction company), Kewitt (another big company, I believe based out of Denver), Walsh Construction (Seattle)...anyone but the Portland metropolitan area residents who are TriMet's actual citizens.
My little zinger was cut off. xD

That was my fault, my thumb was a little quicker than my brain on that one.
ReplyDeleteHaha, no worries. :P
ReplyDeleteWe are waiting for the big files from Jason where all the speakers will be presented.

Basically the members have no say in binding arbitration.
ReplyDeleteAll the decisions are made for us.
I'm again it!
As long as I am a member, then NO. I do have a vote on this. Those days are long gone, along with those who "were" in charge.

Walsh Construction is Portland based.
ReplyDeleteOne thing you have to remember is, just "who is" the companies "customer", you guys are mistaken into thinking that it is you, the end users.
