35 train 3 freaked us out
We (alex, erik, and myself) thought is bus was going to go right on through the red light
First of all, this is NOT "blowing the red"; it is legal, in the SOPs and maybe even encouraged (to get out of the way of MAX trains) for bus operators to make that turn on a red signal.
It's possible the operator was trying to nose up to get ready to turn when the street but it's really hard to say. Besides the crosswalk (which no pedestrians appear to be near), there's also a parking lane before your lane.
But at about the 2 second mark, you can see a clear view of the operator (and they should have easily seen you).
And I'll say that doesn't look too good, and acknowledge the reaction is caused.

What are you talking about? The bus appeared to us that it was going to turn right in front of us on its red!
ReplyDeleteShe blew the cross walk we were going 35mph!
