Transit executive greed and attacks on its union workforce common

You think Trimet overpays its executives? Well WASHINGTON DC METRO leads the way with overpaid fat cats getting rich while riders suffer cutbacks and union employees deal with cutbacks.

It's absolutely despicable that this is occurring in 'public service'. You kind of expect the greed thing in private enterprise but that should not be happening with tax payer dollars.

But one thing about Metro, they sure seem to have less six figure employees than Trimet overall:

  1. Sarles makes more than New York’s subway and bus systems chief, who received $296,000 in 2012. And he is paid more than the top executives in Philadelphia ($260,000), Boston ($220,000) and Chicago ($202,000). They forgot Portland, in this salery list.
