ROAD SUPERVISOR TO KIDNAP A DRIVER

The white shirts are not pals to union drivers. They are all sell outs to the management. I know, I worked there for 15 years and I listen to the daily operations. They tow the company line and do what they are told to without question. That's why they get promoted. There are only several white shirts that question authority, and even they backed down when confronted with loss of job.

The management can not demand you see them in your off time.
Don't fall for this nonsense. If this were me I would tell the supervisor I am off duty but will report to Romo at my report time tomorrow and leave-DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU AND DON'T DARE WALK IN THERE WITHOUT JEFF ACKERSON NEXT TO YOU!
Remember, management by intimidation is HOW THEY ROLL!

  1. I don't know if they can demand you stay and meet the manger at merlo after your shift. If you have appointments set up, kids to take care of that is too short of a notice to meet for sure. The next thing is do what the union tells you and let them know they will have to set up a meeting so your union rep can be with you. If Jeff is not there and your not in a hurry STOP..... DO WHAT THE UNION RECOMENDS. Never meet with out a union rep. It is very simple. But as to the fact can they demand you meet with them that day at that time. I don't know. If it is yest they can I would just walk in and say I want my rep. That is the end. It would be nice if this would be clarified. Once I say I want a union rep can I walk away ?

  2. Don't till the union rep gets there,or if forced into being kidnapped don't speak at all when in the managers office, just listen.

If you walked away I highly doubt they can do much to you. They are violating labor law

  3. What Happened? What was the operator involved in? Was she held past her ending time? The Road Supervisor from what little you shared, Very little clips to match your head line. All I hear is that the supervisor wants to know if the manager wants to see the operator. BUT, I agree never go into a meeting without your UNION Rep. Never stay past your ending time. I am a Controller. I DO NOT BEAT TO THE MANAGERS DRUM !! I do howerver hold operators to the standard operating proceedures and the rule book. It's my job, and without controllers the system would shut down and we would kill even more than we do now..
