The Portland Tribune has become the most apparent cheer leader for the Trimet oligarchs, spewing their propaganda constantly.
Just take a look at this piece TriMet looks at service improvements, cleaner buses (sorry about the wrong link being posted earlier)
When you read through it you see this zinger: According to McFarlane, the service increase will be funded by $1 million in non-union health care cost savings and $1 million in additional revenue from a new advertising contract. TriMet fares will fund the balance of $800,000, McFarlane says.
That is an obvious attempt to paint unionized workers as 'bad guys' as has been MCFARLANES standard operating procedure since he became the new czar of Trimess.
The man and his methods are a plague against the union workers, the fact that he has total support from the sock puppets and the governor is very disturbing. And of course Trimet workers have no right to strike so what the hell does he think he is accomplishing with his never ending union bashing?
You cant cover up "theft of pensions" and say its the union's fault. It costs only $7 million to return service to 15min, at the last meeting they said they were going to throw only $2 million at it. But they can spend $15 on a parking stucture at Bybee, $3 million on 2 bus lines on the west side, and $1.5 million on a usless no. 93. Broke my arse.

And don't forget they found $1 million for raises for themselves. Raises that go on in perpetuity
