SHELLY LOMAX TRYING TO ESCAPE TRIMESS

She's a finalist for General Manager of the Whatcom Transportation Authority. And they just gave her a big fat raise too!
The top managers continue their exodus from Trimess!



BELLINGHAM - The public is invited to a reception to meet candidates for the top position at the Whatcom Transportation Authority.
Five candidates for general manager, two of them already with the transit agency, will appear from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Squalicum Boathouse, 2600 S. Harbor Loop.
Candidates will make a brief presentation and talk one on one with attendees.
The five finalists:
-- Mark Johnson, director of transit operations, Lane Transit District, Eugene, Ore.
-- Shelly Lomax, executive director of transportation, TriMet, Portland, Ore.
-- Mary McLain, assistant general manager of Sun Tran, Tucson, Ariz.
-- Rick Nicholson, director of service development, WTA.
-- Pete Stark, director of fleet and facilities, WTA.
Current WTA general manager Richard Walsh will stay in the post until Feb. 1, 2014, and will have served the agency for 36 years. He became general manager in 1997.

    Lilia Montoya, the BRAND NEW asst. Mgr. at Center Street that came from Union Pacific Railroad...she's just accepted a job to work with Metro in Los Angeles.

    "I have accepted a position with Metro in Los Angeles that will further my growth and development in my career. I have enjoyed working at TriMet and will miss my colleagues here.
