PROPOSED
FY 2015 BUDGET RELEASED AND EMPLOYEE TOWNHALL VIDEO/QUESTIONS NOW ON TRINET
The Fiscal Year 2015 proposed budget prioritizes restoring service, improving schedule
reliability and reducing overcrowding to provide better service to our riders.
For the second year in a row, riders will not see a fare increase, but will see
more new buses in service. The service improvements proposed in the FY15 budget
will better service on 26 bus lines touching over 270,000 transit trips per
weekday. If the proposed FY15 budget is approved, TriMet will have invested
$12.3 million in service between September 2013 and spring 2015. In addition to
improving service, the budget calls for more investment in our rail
infrastructure and improved service reliability. Many of these investments
dovetail with the recent Secretary of State’s audit. The proposed budget will
likely be updated as it’s reviewed by the TriMet board of directors. The FY15
budget takes effect on July 1, 2014 and runs through June 30, 2015. Following
the board presentation, General Manager Neil McFarlane hosted an employee
townhall to present the budget to employees and field questions. Video of the
townhall sessions is now available at trinet.trimet.org/fy15.

The crap they shovel at the Trimet employees
Of course the a-holes in charge of Trimess don't bother to point out that all of their ballyhoo is contingent on union employees completely surrendering to the ruthless destruction of current and retired employees past agreements. While current employees maybe able to pick up the slack the changes will decimate the retirees. Not one mainstream media outlet has covered the total devastation to the Trimet retirees. The lies that have been propagated by Mcfarlane and the mainstream hacks has sunk deep into the culture and while some transit districts have fairly powerful unions and members who march with solidarity Trimet unionized employees seem not to care and the ATU here has given away the right to strike. Woe is us I am afraid..

Hey, Neil found a million dollars to hand out to managers last year, though he did it on the sly. This year, he's right up front!
