As a matter of policy, Oregon’s largest mass transit agency allocates 1.5 percent of project civil-engineering budgets toward art installations along transit lines.
Public art isn't required, but the Federal Transit Administration encourages it. At least 15 other U.S. transit agencies have public art programs.

ReplyDeleteDont you know that tri met is on a course of a giant financial ship wreck. Its a sinking ship and they are providing the life boats for those managers. The rest of us will drown from their finacial burden.
