Trimet's expanded light rail isn't working
@AlYourPalster@TransitSleuth According to TriMets numbers, MAX boardings fell 7.39% from 2012 to 2013, bus boardings increased 0.002%
Probably not much, since TriMets graph shows Sept to Oct staying flat, and there seems to be a trend of lower ridership at the end of the year. The big drop looks like Jul12 to Sept 12, then the free ride zone went away, and it kept falling, but the same thing happened last year. http://www.trimet.org/about/dashboard.htm
Because MAX riders carry more choice riders who have the right to get sick of their shit whereas the buses have more people who can't afford the choice and the ability to take another way to get around.
How much of that is due to elimination of free service, which at the end did not exist on buses?
