"How do I get to the airport?"

  1. More like someone not paying attention to their route code.

In Denver, they have large "check route code" signs at at least one of their junctions.

  3. I fully support the right of people who do not read, write or speak English fluently to participate in any job to the extent they are able, but in a job where verbal communication is SO IMPORTANT there should be no room for someone who can't speak clear English. Too many times in these incidents with MAX you can hear the excitement or agitation and the "slip" back into a native language which complicates factors. In this instance, depending on other rail traffic in the area, the train should have been instructed to reverse back to Gateway and reselect the appropriate route.

Worse, the operator should have been paying attention to signal indications and realized BEFORE THEY EVEN LEFT THE PLATFORM that they were not lined to go to the Airport and requested assistance in routing (if necessary).

A shame that passengers got inconvenienced.
