A 52-year-old sex offender who is accused of exposing himself to a 5-year-old girl and her mother on a TriMet bus appeared in court Monday to hear the charges against him.
Karl Fredrick Deickmiller was arrested Friday on accusations that he exposed his penis while sitting across the aisle from the girl and her mother about 11:30 a.m. July 7 as the No. 17 bus traveled through downtown Portland.
“(The girl’s mother) noticed her daughter was covering her eyes,” reads a probable cause affidavit written by prosecutor John Copic. The girl’s mother saw what the man was doing, so she yelled at him and he quickly left the bus, according to the affidavit.
