Trimet says it has a "low income fare program"

But there is ZERO information on the Trimet.org site exactly where a rider needs to go to qualify for a low income fare!

They brag that there are "40" places that have low income fares but not even one of those places is listed.

As they say on Twitter:
#Trimess #FAIL!

Low-Income Fare Programs
We recognize access to public transit is access to opportunity, so we've established Access Transit fare programs. The programs help low-income individuals access transit and offset the 2012 fare increase, which was the largest in our agency's history.
We set aside a total of $1.3 million for these programs to mitigate the fare increase on low-income riders. Through these programs, we provide fares to non-profits and community-based organizations at a lower cost or at no cost, which they then distribute to their low-income clients.

Fare Assistance Program (Previously the Low-Income Mitigation Program)

The Fare Assistance Program has more than 40 participating organizations, and provides fares to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations at a 20 percent lower cost.

Fare Relief Program

Grants of up to $25,000 in the form of fares are available to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community-based organizations. These grants are not to replace existing resources used to purchase fares through the program, rather, this program will increase the assistance an organization can provide to low-income recipients.
