Any bus driver that is "in tears" should not be on the road
It should be SOP that any driver that shows emotional distress should be relieved for the remainder of the day. How do you allow someone who is emotionally upset to continue driving. Just more proof that drivers are not valued employees
Don't blame the dispatcher, blame the policy that has them keep the system moving regardless of the circumstance. We all know what the SOP is for a preventable accident is to protect property and pedestrians but what is the SOP for this, a operator obviously under traumatic stress and is not competent to continue to drive and is a danger to themselves and others.
