Trimet is gonna improve Powell/Division by 2020?
That is ridiculous, especially since all the need on that corridor is 5 minute bus service
Just increasing service doesn't address other issues like traffic and other things that slow down service, the number of stops, waiting environments, infrastructure and development that aren't transit friendly, etc.
And I think there's also the issue of how to fund it.
If they had five minutes service people would actually write it there by leaving their cars at home decreasing traffic congestion there by everybody would be a winner. Expensive capital projects are not needed maybe some more road improvements but that is all

ReplyDeleteService is already pretty frequent, the problem is just that it takes too darn long...stopping at every stop and being stuck in traffic.
