we would love to 'stand up for public transportation' however what is
it we are 'standing up' for? Portland (trimet) just spent $1.5 billion
on a new light rail line! I'm not standing up for any more of these pork
barrel projects. Now if this movement actually was standing up for
transit riders- not developers and fat cat transit executives maybe we
could stand up for it! Seems to me like there is plenty of money out
there its just not getting to the people that need to use transit
