Trimet continues its practice of stealing employees time

In our class action lawsuit we sued Trimet for not paying wages for time that we spent getting to road reliefs and not time slipping  at end of shift among other things.

Trimet transportation distinct has  developed this very bad habit of stealing operators time in multiple ways.  The latest theft of time is the new HOP  pass.

Trimet required all operators to get new pictures on the operators time.

Now Trimet is requiring operators to pick up the new passes on their own time rather than putting them in the company Mail.

This sort of behavior is  unconscionable and should not go unchallenged. The Trimet executive class all  received races of at least 3%. Trimet union employees got zero. And now they want active employees  to spend their own  time  Dealing with this new HOP pass. Employees are required to have new passes by July 1st or they will be locked out of the garages as the old passes will be deactivated.

Subject: Pick up your new employee badge
The news we’ve all been waiting for; the new Hop Fastpass™ employee badges are finally ready for pickup! Employees, dependents, spouses, partners and retirees who had their new photo taken may pick up their new ID at any location listed below. (If you or a loved one still needs a picture taken, then scroll down).
Remember to bring your old ID card to make the transfer to the new badge. Employees will also be able to pick up the new ID card for their dependent, spouse or partner. (Again, have the old ID card on hand for the switch).
Questions? Contact the Safety and Security team: Amanda Frye at ext. 7699, Shawna Huffman at ext. 5803 or Alex Ubiadas at ext. 5743.
Date and times are below and a calendar is also attached.

The team will be in garage report areas or lunchrooms depending on the facility (you’ll see their signs) to collect your old card and hand you the new badge. It’ll take a minute for them to verify some numbers on the back of your card.

What if my family still needs a new picture?
If your loved ones or a dependent still need to get a picture taken for their new ID, they are encouraged to attend one of the final on-site photo sessions occurring this week through May 20th, and their new ID will be ready for pickup starting on May 24th.
If they are unable to make one of these final on-site photo sessions, the Transit Police Department (TPD) will be offering set days and times for photo and ID printing in June and July, at their downtown location next to the Old Town/Chinatown MAX Station. The June/July days and hours will be announced after the pickup days.
