Trimet is the most anti union government employer in the state of Oregon

Hundreds of 6 figure bureaucrats and billions In capital probably corporate welfare yet they whine about paying drivers liveable wages
Goddamn disgrace https://t.co/6lTqkfvdru
Towards the end of the article it states that TriMet will be reviewing it every 3 months to see if they can sustain an in-house service. I have heard the union complain yet I have not seen the union present any documentation of how the numbers would work better and how the shuttle would work better being done in-house. If ATU is being real about this they would have the numbers worked out to show how it all can work. Has ATU produced any such information for the public and TriMet to see?
ReplyDeleteYou are correct about TriMet shouldn't be doing this shit yet isn't that the reason unions are around? Unions are supposed to keep things like this from taking place. Making sure that the contracts have language the protects the works from things like this. If such language was in our contract then TriMet wouldn't be able to get away with the shit. Yet here it is and TriMet is getting away with it.
ReplyDeleteVery sad to see that the shuttle service isn't even Oregon base. To see a shuttle van at the garage with Washington plates frustrates me.
Without the right to strike the union is basically powerless
