5-BUYING MORE LIGHT RAIL TRAINS this lovely contract goes to one of the biggest recipeints of government pork the SIEMENS COMPANY. A nice tidy sum of $147,100,000. Yay for Seimens
6-THE RIDICULOUS DIVISION STREET GENTRIFICATION apparently the original contract wasn't enough for AECOM so in compliance with standard operation procedures of da land of da free all pork barrel contractors can get more money simply by asking for it! No money for universal health care or fare free public transportation but unlimited money to pork barrel contractors. It's true that 1/2 the pork comes from the FEDs and its true if the FED's wanna throw money to the various local elites why shouldn't they take it right? So why not give AECOM an additional 1/2 a million? It's da land of da free, home of da corrupt
7-ANOTHER CONTRACTOR WANTS MORE PORK-We all know that the people employed at the Trimet in its capital projects division don't actually do anything everything is contracted out apparently. "they" want and additional $850,000 for WENAHA (whoever they are)
8-THEY'RE DOING SOME SORT OF SHIT AT RUBY JUNCTION The original contract was $3.2 million but per SOP they are adding another $640k on top of that. Why not right?
9-SAM GETS HIS CONTRACT! But guess what? It's not $450k like I thought. It's only $344K. BUT remember, that's his STARTING salary. The puppets can raise it up at will to $450k, and that's what they will do
10-ADOPT THE BUDGET No commentary on this other than the budget is actually higher than last year AFTER they decreased service. Make you wonder. Here is some AMENDMENTS
11-MORE "BETTER RED" (LOL) CONTRACT "MODIFICATIONS" Everybody's favorite Trimet crony capitalism's contractor STACEY&WITKBEK! The original contract was for $508,000! Guess how much this "modification" is? $153,000.000! I KID YOU NOT! As a sidebar you may be interested in knowing that it was "NO BID" contract. But of course it was!
12-Next up is NEXT GENERATION SIGNAL PRIORITY BULLSHIT- Who knows what it is or what it will actually achieve, my bet is nothing because all this money just ends up in the pockets of these people and NOTHING EVER CHANGES with system reliability. This is $3 million buck
